This page is brought to you by several hours of staring at Cadillacs on Google image search.
Oh, and imminent tragedy :’)
(That’s a ‘68 Eldorado, for anyone interested–at least, to the best of my artistic ability!)
I know we promised a page this week after skipping last week’s update, but due to a mix of real-life issues and burnout taking its toll, Locke and I came to the reluctant decision that we had to call a break on updating for a while.
As the script writer, I have the luxury of not needing to consistently put hours into my side of the creative process. In fact, I’ve had the first two scripts written since February 2018; but Locke has needed to design, sketch, ink, and colour a new page of BANG&BURN every week, for over six months (almost, there were a few hiccups), all without the safety-net of buffer pages to fall back on.
Needless to say it’s been hard work, but then more recently it became obvious that it was becoming too hard. So Locke is going to be taking some much needed and deserved relaxation time.
What’s the plan then? Well, until the New Year, we will be restricting updates to once-per-month. This is to allow Locke to recuperate, create a buffer, and for us both spend time with our families over the coming holidays. We really wanted to finish Issue #1 before we took a break, but considering how it ends… you might actually be happier that we aren’t. Though hopefully we have still left you all with something to look forward to.
We love BANG&BURN, we love our characters, and we love that you all love them too! Your support has been instrumental and invaluable in getting us this far, and we hope you can spare us a little more patience for the coming weeks.
Thank you all. You are amazing.
Hey guys, Locke here: After hitting some unforeseen obstacles, Caroline and I have decided to postpone this week’s update.
The next page will be dropping instead next Monday, October 1st.
I’m sorry not just for the late notice, but also because I don’t have anything in place to hold you guys over for the rest of the month. That being said, as always, I promise that it will be worth the wait.
Thank you all so much for your patience! I know it’s no easy feat to wait even weekly for a story to move along. We are as impatient to show you the story as you are to see it! And we both look forward to the day where, hopefully, I can be working on B&B full-time.
Until then, please accept our (really my) apologies for the delay, and our gratitude for enjoying our story enough to stick around. Thank you <3
The site might be a little unstable for the next 30 minutes as I update the wordpress theme and fix the css that will inevitably stop working because of it.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
